If you have crooked teeth, a bite misalignment, or problems with the function of your jaw, Dr. Katherine Ahn will likely have the solution.
Dr. Ahn started her dental journey with an undergraduate degree in biology at Loma Linda University. She was then accepted into the prestigious dental program at the UCLA School of Dentistry. After graduating with her DDS in 1993, she completed a two-year pediatric residency at UCLA with a strong focus on early growth and development.
During her pediatric residency, Dr. Ahn acquired skills and experience in orthodontics and craniofacial development. This education has proven invaluable in her focus on healthy airway support and jaw development.
Dr. Ahn is founder of Aviara Centers, one of the nation’s most unique clinical settings in which patients receive comprehensive care to help them achieve optimal health through orofacial development, proper jaw and teeth alignment, and most importantly, with an uncompromising focus on proper airway development. Aviara has partnered with some of the most accomplished medical doctors, orthodontists, myofunctional therapists, and other key healthcare professionals in this field to bring you the very best care available.
While she also loves and treats adults, kids are her passion. She has a knack to making them feel comfortable, important, and happy. Her favorite thing is seeing her patients smile and giggle, especially the patients who are usually embarrassed by their smile.
And the kids love her too! They always look forward to coming back for a visit.
Moreover, the parents also love her, as they see and feel her genuine kindness and care. They also appreciate how she answers all their questions and wants them involved in creating the most beautiful smile and face possible for their child.
When away from the office, Dr. Ahn enjoys traveling with her amazing husband, serving in her local church, and exercising. Her grown son, Brandon, also works in the dental field.
“I am excited to bring our Aviara concept to San Clemente. I look forward to helping our patients, both children and adults, to develop beautiful smiles and faces while achieving improved health.”
